Well, I have been up to a few things. First, I took a faceting class to learn how people take rough rock and turn it into a shinny sparkling stone. It was 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for 6 hours per day. It was a grinder, but I walked away with a great understanding of the process and I had finished 3 stones. The class was held in the Rice Museum. I am a luck person to live just 15 mins away from one of the biggest collection of rocks on the west coast. The class had great teachers, who were all members of the Faceting Guild which meets locally at OMSI every month.
